Australian Cycling Team Jersey

The Australian national team kit by AusCycling and Santini celebrates diversity, inclusion and reconciliation. The green and gold of Australian sporting remains, but new to this Australian team cycling jersey and cycling bib shorts are Indigenous Australian patterns. This kit is a symbolic, important statement that aims to strengthen connections between First Australians and all levels of cycling in the country. Every time our athletes compete - and each time you wear this team kit for Australia - we’re advancing reconciliation.

We all ride faster when we’re wearing the Australian cycling team kit! Since 2001, Santini has been the exclusive clothing partner of AusCycling Australia, which brings us enormous pride. Over time, we have worked with AusCycling to innovate and produce the most technically-advanced superior team cycling kit possible. And you can benefit! Join our nation’s best, show your national pride for our most talented cyclists and a move towards a deeper connection with First Australia. Add this premium bike apparel to your wardrobe.

What is the purpose of this year’s Australian team cycling jersey?

To bring our nation closer to reconciliation and inclusion by incorporating the iconic Australian green & gold competition colours with First Australian designs.

Who is the First Nation’s artist responsible for the design work?

Chern’ee Sutton is a contemporary First Australia artist from the Kalkadoon people.

What does the design symbolise?

The art features travelling lines depicting athletes moving around the world to compete. U symbols connote men and women - those with digging sticks are women and those with spears are men. A community symbol in the design’s centre represents Australia, home for us all.

What about the functional elements of the kit? How is it innovative?

A sleek aero fit, light breathable fabric and raw cut deliver maximum comfort and performance.

From a technical perspective, the jersey has a sleek aerodynamic cut. The front, collar, sides and back pockets are in light, breathable Rudy fabric while the back sections and sleeves are made from Bodyfit which guarantees a superb fit.

The sleeves are also raw cut to further improve comfort and the long zipper is almost invisible. A stand-up collar and elasticised hem and silicone grippers keep it in place. The bib’s iconic Santini C3 chamois uses the innovative carving process. This kit looks great and performs even better!
