ABOUT THE TOUR DOWN UNDER AND SANTINI’S MAJOR SPONSORSHIP

Since 2018, Santini Australia has been an official partner of the Santos Tour Down Under and the subsequent Festival Of Cycling (a virtual replacement during the Coronavirus lockdowns). As a Tour Down Under sponsor, we are responsible for the design and development of all podium jerseys, including the iconic and hotly contested Ochre Jersey from the Tour Down Under. We’ve also got a sensational presence in the TDU Village, so be sure to come and say hi!

The biggest cycling race event in the Southern Hemisphere, the inaugural Santos Tour Down Under took place in 1999. Less than a decade later, in 2008, the event became the first outside Europe to be granted UCI WorldTour status. It has since evolved into a brilliant 10-day cycling festival, attracting top male and female UCI WorldTour professional cycling teams. The first big race on the annual UCI calendar, valuable UCI points are up for grabs. Make no mistakes - there is nothing like it in Australia.
